Back-Up Lights / Neutral Safety Switch 200

While backing up tonight I noticed my reverse lights didn't come on. Playing with the shifter slightly (87 auto tranny) lit them right up, but I had to hold the lever just slightly out of position to keep them on. So I'm guessing the neutral safety switch might be getting on in years. Also, I've noticed that when I put the car in drive the gear locking button at the top of the shift lever doesn't always click into place. Same problem? Anyway, I read the 700/900 faqs and it does give directions on how to replace the switch but the center consoles are different from a 240 and wonder if this still applies. Any info is greatly appreciated.

Thanks / Jim
