Volvo 242 GT Suspension question 200

Are standard shocks/struts on a 242 GT any improvement over standard 244 or 245 shocks/struts? And I'm not talking about the R-Sport Rally or Road Rally versions. I mean the shocks/struts that would have come standard on all 242 GT model years. I believe the strut part # is: 273662-7 and the shocks are part #: 1128656-4. I'm considering pulling struts/shocks off of a '79 GT and they aren't the R-Sport versions. Just wondering if (assuming they are in excellent shape with lots of life) better than the standard 240 versions. Thanks for any imparted knowledge and advice.
