Dead Speedometer 200 1988

Speedometer has quit. All gauges, lights, and odometer work in the instrument cluster. Nothing extraordinary, haven't had the instrument panel out of the dash for 6 months, started out in the morning working fine. Stopped for gas and took off and noticed the needle at zero.

Anyone have experience and ideas for me to try to revive this one?
