YES! there is a plastic gear in the spedometer that probibly is dead (sheared, cracked, disengreated...) you will have to do open heart surgery to get her out then you need a new gear. Sorry.

Check that first and if that is the case let me know I think I have a spare speedometer that will work for your needs.
