I have a '90 745T here in the rust belt. There is a hinge mechanism on the handbrake cable that's welded to the rear axle. Mine has rusted to bits. Does anyone know of a replacement for this? There's also a plastic guide for the right side cable that fits in an ear on the differential housing. Does anyone know if this guide is available from Volvo? The roads are so heavily salted around here I was thinking of having a machine shop make the hinge mechanism out of 316L stainless then using stainless radiator hose clamps to hold it to the axle.

Any help is appreciated.
