To make a long story short, I broke a fuel feed line while changing my fuel filter. This is the small, hard plastic line that connects the fuel pump to the front of the fuel filter, here is a picture of it:



The FAQ says that this runs $25 online. I stopped by the dealer and was quoted $41, then stopped by an independent shop who quoted $71 which they said was the dealer’s price. When I said that the dealer had quoted $41, they called the dealer and said that the guy I was talking with had the part for the wrong car (one fuel pump instead of two?) (this is quite possible, this was the same guy who swore that the washers on the front and back of the fuel filter were the same size (they aren’t)).

Anyway, first question: Where can I buy this online for $25? And is that just the hose, or everything shown in the picture above?

Second (third?) question: which dealer price was correct, the $41 or the $71?
