Cracked turbo exhaust housing! '87 745 700

Getting ready for 1000 mi trip and found a crack in the volute! About 2"-3" long, no big leak, no loss of boost.

Any best guesses about progressive damage other than more exhaust leakage?

I'm thinking at 443,000 mi this is just internal erosion?

It is a Mitsu

No time to replace before the trip, wagon is the bike and kayak carrier!
