Greetings,
I have driveline vibration at 60mph + and am thinking it might be the tailshaft bushing. The vibration is not constant, depending on the smoothness of the road. I travel mostly freeways to work and during smoother portions of the freeway, it's fine, yet "rougher" sections cause vibration.
I properly indexed my driveshaft, removed it and replaced all u-joints plus the center bearing and mount. I replaced both motor mounts and tranny mount last weekend.
Within the past two months, I have completely rebuilt the suspension - HD Bils, TMS springs, full poly bushings and upper/lower chassis braces. My front wheel bearings were repacked and properly torqued when I did the brakes within the last month.
There doesn't seem to be much play in the tailshaft, but I am stumped. It is not leaking, either. The only reason I suspect the tailshaft is that I did one in my '89 765T and it made a world of difference, as far as sommthing out the ride.
The only other option I can think of is the rear end is going. (?)
Thanks for your help....
