Wahler thermostat for an 1987 760Turbo? 700

I just received my newly ordered Wahler thermostat as part of a larger order I placed with E.A.S. and have a feeling it may be the wrong one. It should be an 87 degree celsius stat (part #G4000-116075) but the one in the box (Wahler box part #4089.71D) has a 71 with the degree symbol stamped on it next to the Wahler stamping. Am I right to assume that that 71 is the temp for this particular thermostat? Or is that just another random number on there? No use installing it if it's the wrong one.
