1988 model LH 2.4 without OBD? 700 1988

Sorry me again. My VIN code check shows my 1988 740 wagon to be a B230F w/ a LH 2.4. Did they make these w/o OBD? Mine definately does not have the OBD box that my 91's do. What ignition would it have? I have a firewall mounted cylindrical ignition coil. I don't have a RPM sensor on the flywheel. I have a hall effect sensor on the distributer. Brick info. says both RPM & Hall effect were used in the same systems.
