I've parked my 740 in the garage as I won't be needing it for a few weeks. This is a rare chance for me to do some work on the car but for the first time in a long time there is nothing that needs doing to it. But I might try to clean up the engine bay a bit and cover all the metal with WD-40. Question: how do I restore the shine to the VOLVO logo on the metal valve cover. I'm wondering whether it was once chrome plated or something similar. The surface is very rough now.
