Alternator removal 900 1996

I have a 1996 960 3.0. lt I need to remove the alternator. On looking I see that it appears to be trapped by the power steering pump on top, and possibly the AC compressor below. Do one of these have to be removed first, or is there another way... Thanks Rob.
