How much coolant will come out when expansion hose is removed? 200 1989

I ordered a new expansion tank (MTC) and a Mackey expansion hose (hose that connects to the bottom of tank) earlier this week, so they should come in anytime soon. The current expansion hose looks to be in good condition (it's a Volvo hose), but I ordered a new one just in case. I figured that since the tank will be changed, might as well change that hose too. But I'm a bit nervous about the amount of coolant that will come out from the radiator when unclamping the hose from it. My plan is to first drain the expansion tank, unclamp the expan. hose from it, then unclamp the radiator end. I really don't want to drain the cooling system, as it was flushed when I had a new water pump installed not too long ago. (And besides, I've not reached that skill level to do it yet!)

So if I just go ahead and drain the coolant required to change the expansion tank and hose and then add whatever was drained out, do I need to follow the coolant flushing method of sliding the heater control to MAX HOT? Just wanna cover all the bases, and I just don't want any surprises, like coolant shooting out of the radiator at the expansion hose connection. Thanks.
