Any one running a gutted thermostat in Florida?

My 95 940 FI Thermostat "Broke in closed a week ago - so I guted her on the road & finally got around to gettng her home last nigh-

Seems as now problems due to her getting hot-

1.So I should not think of replacing her wih anything but NAPA or volvo

or

2. Leave the gutted version in as I usually will never se below 30 degrees in Florida

or ?
