I have spent a lot of time and more money than a sane person should spend to bring my Amazon back to life. The car still has some serious problems and I still need to correct some "repairs" done by the previous (adolescent) owner. It's worth it though.

I've been driving the car about 500 miles a week since November. I've had one major breakdown and several roadside repairs betwen here and Houston (200 miles each way, twice a week). But when I pull that 9% grade south of town and listen to the SU's gurgling as the load increases, I get the biggest sh*t eating grin you can imagine.

I just wanted to share the joy. ;-)
