cam seal blown despite clean pcv system 200 1982

My camshaft seal has popped out despite the fact that I clean the flame trap with each oil change and replaced the breather box and all hoses about a year and a half ago (with lots of help from some of you!)
I just read that I shouldn't be using the plastic screen in the flame trap at all. My question is wether just having the screen there, even though it's not clogged, could be enough to build up pressure in the crank case? I'm not sure how to clean the hoses or the breather box itself, since it's so buried way under the manifold. I thought replacing all that stuff should have taken care of it for a while. Seems like I read something about blowing into the system somewhere to check if it's clogged. Other than the pcv system being clogged are there other reasons for the seal to pop out?
Also, when I replaced the timing belt, I got a kit from FP Groton which included orange seals. Are these ok to use or should I buy the black ones from Volvo?
