Water pump installation 700

Hello, I tried to replace my water pump (89 740) this morning. I have a problem installing the new water pump. Getting the top most right hand bolt "in" while prying up w/ the prybar does not work. I gave up and will try again tomorrow. Is there any "tricks" of the trade that I need to know? Thanks for any suggestion/tips.
