Driveline Whine - No cheese S90-V90

Started this week. Different speeds. Noticeable whine from 30 to 55mph, not all the time. Tried shifting to lower gear to change frequency no help. Sometimes it seems as if it is in the transmission, sometimes rearend. Haven't been able to identify source yet. (96 960 138K) Checked trans fluid level good - normal fluid smell. Anyone have trouble with the driveshaft carrier bearing?
