1987 740GLE interior trim

I am replacing the interior of my 1987 740GLE (sedan) and some of the trim around the doors are broken, plus the vinyl has peeled of the plastic. Has anyone her restored these plastic trim pieces? What adhesive was used to glue the vinyl back to the plastic? How did you fixed the broken hard palstic pieces?
I would appreciate hearing from other owners who have repaired/restored these interior plastic trim pieces.
