Yet another vibration question 700 1989

After replacing the transmission, I'm still left with a high frequency vibration in the drivetrain. It kind of feels like running on a flat tire at speed and appears between 2000 and 3000 rpm. Since I did a manual transmission conversion, I had to replace the driveshaft. Would an out of balance driveshaft make this kind of high frequency vibration? I would think it would be more severe and lower frequency. I had a similar vibration before and I thought it was part of the rear transmission seal problem that led to the transmission change, but I also had the driveshaft seperated before when I was working on the rear axle, so I could have had an out of balance driveshaft before as well. I want to fix this before the car becomes undriveable again, even if it means replacing the rear bearing of the new transmission.
