Keyless entry with remote 900

I just purchased a 1994 940 wagon and it only came with one key.(the guy claimed that that was all he had.) Anyway, I am seeing some remotes on ebay and was wondering if all the 1994 940 were eligible for using the remote. does anyone know for sure?
