Alternator Check 900 1991

1991 940 SE (268K). When testing the alternator with the engine running, I got the following:

14.8 Volts when testing SMALL positive terminal (blade connector) of alternator, grounding to block.

NOTHING when testing LARGE positive terminal, grounding to block.

Bad connection inside the alternator, or am I testing incorrectly?
