240 NO START, TEMP SENSOR CHANGE? 200

Good Day Folks;
The saga of my son's reluctant '88 240 continues. Per my last posting and all your good advice I changed the fuel pressure regulator and the car still will not start. It keeps on wetting the spark plugs with gas. It still has a good spark and the evidence trail now points to the fuel injection temp sensor. I can see this little beastie tucked under the intake manifold, are there any tricks to getting it out aside from removing said manifold? It looks do-able from under the car but I might be imagining things.

Best Regards;
