89 740 Hesitates 700 1989

The car runs great-good accel, no "bucking" under hard accel, however, when stopped, in gear and foot on the brake, the engine starts to "buck"-for lack of better term. It is NOT missing. The tach drops a few hundred RPM. I am baffled. The MAF is recent. Any ideas? Thanks. Cheers!
