hey guys -

first time posting here. recently purchased an '86 740. didn't know what kind of used car i was going to get until i heard people raving about the volvos.

guy who sold it to me did a pretty good job of fixing it up. i'm fixing the other few odds & ends myself - got the sunroof working, new trunk struts, etc.

so i finally got around to putting in a new blower fan. the old one was making the noise, etc. took me a while to figure out that the easiest way to do this was to just get upside down on the passenger seat.

i got the new fan in and it works great. the only problem now is that there's no air coming out of the ducts. i've double checked the fan to make sure it's running. i can hear it and i removed the hood cowl to look down into the air intake and i could see it spinning.

any idea what's going on?
