Howdy,

I cant seem to track down what is wrong with the headlights on my 1985 740 GLE

On the drivers side the low beam only works when the brights are on, it does not work when the lows are on.

on the passenger side all the lights work as expected.

I have replaced the bulb with one identical to the one in it (Its a 2 prong in a 3 prong socket?) and I have moved the fuses around so that hopefully if I had a bad one that visual inspection didnt find the problem would move.

Today I stopped at a parts store and got a bulb failure sensor/relay and installed it.

Still no low beam on the drivers side.

This car is about 20 years newer than the vehicle I'm used to working on and I'm finding I'm not doing so swell troubleshooting the problem and I'd love input before I have to take it somewhere and pay up.
