Two weeks I have worked on the upper end of the engine in my 79, 242. New valves, upgraded valve springs, retainers, split locks, seals and silencers. Checked head for wrapage. Perfect valve gap. The whole route. New head bolts. Torqued it down. Finished up the small stuff and fired it up. 3 minutes later the temp gauge is sitting above the H. I did everything but one. I never had the head pressure tested.....Ok, start over tomorrow..Stupid!! Could just swap the B21FT out of the 83 parts cars and be done with it..Max:<(
