Hello, hoping for a magic-bullet solution like the BIG one I got here a few weeks ago, with the 240. Or, any solution.
Wife's 740 stalls after ignition, maybe 80 percent of the time. No discernible pattern with air temp, cold start, hot start. Did it almost every time today. Then, not tonight. It always accelerates and otherwise operates normally. Any ideas would be appreciated.
I tried the Big-one solution: spray-cleaning the air mass meter, which instantly solved a huge stalling problem with the 240. Seemed to help for a while on the 740, but perhaps a coincidence.
Changed air filter, no difference.
And a note to anyone facing a diagnosis of a bad AMM. Clean it first with cleaner meant for that job. Saved me major $$, thanks to the brickboarders.
