Ok here it goes, 82 GL with 156,000 miles having warm up and idle problems. Now this has been adressed within the past 6 months and now it seems to be back to its old tricks again. When I stop the rpms dive down below 750 and then they come back up, the car does not want to stall but this can't be good because it just started doing it again. I had the base idle set last fall and everything was fine but now its diving again and really pissing me off. Is it easy for it to become "unset" by itself? I had some vacuum leaks when they set the idle that are now fixed, could that affect the setting? The other question is that I think its related to the warm up regulator (may not be technical term). I am having a problem with gas in my oil and I have been having warm up issues for over a year now, is the regulator easy to replace by myself? Or should I have a qualified mechanic do it? Mind you I am not totally lost to doing stuff myself but I don't like messing with fuel things but I think I could manage it and save some money. Any info would be great thanks everyone.
