I have had my brick for nearly 4 years now and when i got her the ac worked albeit less than amazingly. Now the ac has totally failed. the compressor kicks in and the engine runs noticeably faster but no cool air at all comes out. This is the first car that I have ever had with AC and now it's dead!...i assume that this vintage system came with R12 in it. Are there any typical failure points to these systems? my uncle who was the only previous owner of the car told me that it broke once before and all that was wrong was a failed hose and that the repair was under $200 total. any thoughts would be welcome.
