I need a dimmer switch for my '62 544. I see ImParts (Olof) lists them for $43.68. However, it occured to me these might be a U.S. part in the first place and the same as some older domestic cars. True? If so, are there common substitutes available? Could there be a NAPA crossover?

Money saving tips would be appreciated.

Or, where have you been buying your dimmer switches?
