Hi there,
I have got a '90 745 (Turbo) wagon some time ago. It turned out that the airbox there is somehow tweaked: there is 1st opening leading to the right fender interior area (the air somehow passes there), plus there is 2nd opening which supposedly should be connected to the preheat hose. In my case this 2nd opening is completely blocked by a piece of plastic, and no any preheat hose. Also, I do not see any signs of the air box thermostat anywhere. Does anyone has an experience of this setup? This car was all time in South CA, seems all of that can be reasonable as air is rarely cold here. Still, it probably takes me some more time to heat up the engine, and I could be getting less miles-per-gallon than I could..
Thanks,
Wolandir
