Still a boost issue after many parts replaced 700 1989

Hi all,

I have an 89 780 with a standard B230FT, I've replaced or had replaced the following;
Knock Sensor
Air Mass Meter
Voltage Regulator/Alternator
Starter motor
In Tank Fuel Pump
Fuel Filter

I've read the FAQ and I've had my car in the two shops, the problem is this, under load the car starts to buck and if I push harder it sputters, this happens around 2500 RPM. When I got it back from the shop it worked great for about 3 weeks then it started to get a little worse each day. Like today I had a hard time holding 40mph up hills. One friend suggested the ECU but after reading the FAQ I'm not so sure. Any suggestions would be most helpful as the last time I brought it to the shop with this problem they had it 3 months, I'd like to go in with a little foresight this time or maybe even fix it myself.

TIA

Brian
