Tranny question S90-V90

As I drove my 960 to the beach last week and back ,I noticed that there is a whine coming from the tranny. Car shifts smooth no jerks or anything and the fluid is cherry red and right on the mark where it should be on the dipstick.
I have pulled some of the fluid out-enought for me to add some Lucas tranny conditioner-didn't make any diff though. Anyone had this problem to arise? Am I having somekind of internal leak that will cause the deimise of my tranny, or is it something I can fix?
