belt won't budge 700 1991

Cannot get the alternator to budge enough to slip off the belt, with the forward and rear adjusting nuts loose (and the adjusting bolt backed off). The only possible pivot bolt I can see, at bottom, is too close to the pulley to get a socket or even wrench on it. Am I missing something obvious? Like a crowbar?

I'm stuck so any ideas would be great. Many thanks.
