I posted this over on the 900 board, but since my '96 965 and the V90 are similar, I thought maybe someone here (who doesn't look at the 900 Board) might have suggestions.
In all modes (fresh and recirc) have VERY low airflow in both heat and A/C (and out of all outlets). When I press Recirc after a delay (and a mechanical sound) I get slightly cooler air, making me think the flap is working, BTW.
Fan appears to operate normally in all 5 speeds (each higher speed produces more air, and more noise), but even on "5" the flow is what one might expect on speed 1 or 2.
This flow is insufficient to cool the car down here in Texas where I moved recently (after being sufficient in the Northeast where I previously lived).
The temp of the air (either heat or A/C) seems normal (very hot on max heat, and about 55 deg F on max A/C at 100 deg F outside air temp).
A possibly unrelated problem is that under acceleration, the dash vents lose all air flow (which I now understand is a bad servo valve, or a leaking vacuum motor).
I can LIVE with the loss of vent air (as long as enough cold air goes SOMEWHERE), but the present low flow just doesn't get enough cold air circulating in the car to cool it off sufficiently above about 85 deg F outside temp or so. It's been 104 deg F lately, and it is REALLY uncomfortable in the car!!
Thanks,
Bob
