howdy just picked up an 88 740 gle wagon 5spd with 141k on it.

hving tight steering issues ....I have a cam steering rack. i lubed the lower steering u joints and used the turkey baster bleeding method to put in new fluid.

while the car is up i checked underneath and doesn't appear to be any leaks the ps pump belt is new and fine.Thre aren't any squeals....shat i did notice was lots of rust on teh bars coming from the boots to the ball joints.

Also grabbed rods going to bal joints on both cars and passenger side of 88 won't rotate al all when grabbing bar and turning it like a motor cycle throttle.

What's up with that ? should it rotate?

is the 85 sedan interchangeable with the 88 wagon ?
