I sort of inherited an 84 244 turbo from a friend, and I love it! What a fantastic ride. However. The rust monster is slowly clenching my car in its fists. As of now, there is perhaps zero rust from the bottom edge up. The underside is slightly different story. There aren't any holes, but there is surface rust prevalent. The roads around here are Heavily salted in the winter. Let's say I don't have a large quantity of money, but I have a lot of time, patience and decent mechanical know-how. I will go under the car with a piece of sandpaper if it is the solution... But I'm not sure what the solution is, and that's why I'm here! I understand these cars are QUITE rust prone, but there has to be SOME SEMI CHEAP LABOR INTENSIVE WAY TO "RUSTPROOF"
right? right?
