Here's a good one. I'm going over my '90 240, M47II, in preparation for my son to take it off to college. I'm trying to eliminate in advance as many of the old car bugs that can happen to these cars, since it will be no longer under my daily watchful eye.
Last night we had a terrible rain storm. Everytime I drove fast thru a puddle on the passenger side, making water splash underneath, all the warning lights on the lower row of the instument pod would come on and go off. All of them, the whole row.
The engine ran normal, didn't miss a beat. Just warning lights on and then off as the splash went away.
Has anybody ever seen a quirkly electrical problem like this on their car? I was thinking maybe a ground somewhere.
Thanks,
Mark
