Please excuse my ignorance here but I'm trying to understand how my 86 240 LH2.2 fuel/Chrysler ignition system works. Since all the injectors are wired together I assume they all open at the same time - because the fuel system doesn't know which cylinder was going to fire next? With the later use of the CPS did this change to only one injector opening at a time?
So what happens to the gas for the "non-fire" cylinders? Does hang out in the intake until the intake valve opens? Or does it get sucked in, compressed, but not fired? Thanks ...
