Removing tail light bulbs in a '79 242 200 1979

Hello all.

I've had my '79 242 for about a year now and this is the first time I've needed to replace a bulb. Trouble is I can't figure out how to get the stupid things out.

In the '86 my dad has, the bulbs fixtures twist out from behind. It's really easy.

In my '79 however, I can not get any of the fixtures to twist at all! They look similar but they aren't quite the same.

This has me stumped. My '80 245 is easy, you just pop the lens cover off, however I don't think that's how it is suppose to be done on my 2 door... is it?

Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks as always.
