now that I don't drive her daily, the old girl seems really cranky when i fire her up. She turns over 8-10 times sputters once or twice then dies. She always starts back up immediately after that though. It is only on dead cold starts. I ordered a new distributor cap and rotor from groton yesterday (bosch). this particular car seems to eat caps and rotors on about a yearly basis. Does anyone eles have this happen. if the cap and rotor don't fix it, any other thoughts? the plugs and wires are about 6 months old and the crank case breather system is in top shape as well as the throttle body. what is the deal here? I have an extra fuel pump relay that I keep for good measure, can the old ones go intermittently?
