Hopefully someone can help me with my problem.
I have a 91 740 non turbo, with the Regina electrical system (if that matters.)
My problem is that the SRS light is on and will not go out by grounding fuse #24 three times. Using the standard procedure, the light will flash when you ground fuse #24 with the cig lighter but here is the weird thing, it doesnt flash five times but the speedometer jumps up to about 45 mph then back to zero, then repeats every few seconds.
Usually the speedometer gets stuck at about 45mph and doest go any higher when driving at highway speeds. Sometimes after a few miles it will suddenly pop up to the right speed and all will be fine.
I suspect somehowe these two are issues are related. The speedometer issue has been around since I bought the car, however the SRS light only came on a few weeks ago and will not go out.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks
Damon
