Thanks Mate.
I played with it again last night and was able to get the light to go off. It looked like it was flashing a code 1 to me. Then I was able to reset the light. How long it stays off is the next question.
Interesting that the spedometer issue is not related, and now I think about it that could well be the case as the speedometer is still jumping around from 0 to 45mph depending on how fast I am going.
I am going to look at the wiring at the speed sensor in the diff tonight.
