Steering Rack Lines don't route right after replacing rack 900 1994

I bought a rebuilt koyo rack and installed it without too much trouble, except for the two hydrolic lines. The metal lines don't seem to be in the right place. The smaller line crosses right over the larger such that you can't get the larger one on. And the larger hits the steering u-joint. It rubs the
u-joint if I route it over or under the ujoint.

I must be doing something wromg.
