Wrong clutch cable? 200 1990

I have the M47 tranny and i broke a cable last weekend so I ordered a new one from FCPgroton. When i recieved it today, i noticed the nipple end that connects at the clutch fork is a round ball. My old one was a triangular, and so was the replacement i got at the junkyard. I am wondering if this cable with the ball end will fit in the U-shaped boot that presses it against the fork?

The piece that runs through the firewall is a bit different, as well as the pieces to control looosening/tighten the cable, but I am sure they will work fine cuz the cable seems to be the same legnth as the old cable when side by side.
