Something Art said earlier about the oil gauge being pegged got me thinking (I know, thinking can be dangerous).
The dealer installed an oil pressure gauge when the car was new. All these years the reading as been right around 3-4 bars when cruising, 2-3 when idle. The last few weeks I noticed it sits close to 5, even at fast idle. It doesn't peg the meter but close to 5.
No oil leaks. Car has been well maintained. Oil/filter changes on schedule. Runs well. Flame trap cleaned on schedule.
I'm a little concerned about the high pressure. 'Course the gauge or the sender might be wrong. I don't have a test gauge. Should I be concerned?
