Dead Battery issues 200 1987

Hello all,

We have a friend in Hopkinsville, Kentucky that called about her frustration with her 1987 245 DL. It seems that she has replaced the battery three times in the past two years and spent over $1000 on trouble shooting to find the problem. Her various mechanics have told her that the alternator is fine and that they cannot find any leakage to ground. I am thinking that there is probably some rot in the OEM wiring harness and that it should be replaced. Is there somewhere near that area besides the Nashville Volvo dealer where she can get knowledgable repairs made to that car or find a good harness? I can forward any email addresses or phone numbers if you have them.

Thanks,
