Stalling 240

My wife's '93 240 5 speed wagon quit on her the other day after driving through a snow storm. Fortunately it waited until she was pulling into the garage. 2 hours later it started up and ran fine. I took it around the block and almost didn't make it home. It kept wanting to quit. I idled home in first gear the it quit. About a week ago there was a loud humming noise in the back of the car that stopped after a few miles. The car continued to run fine the rest of the week. I'm thinking one of the fuel pumps went out but I'm not sure which one. I did check the distributor and plug wires for moisture. I even sprayed them with a water bottle. Car ran fine. Anyone have any ideas?
