OEM vs Aftermarket strut mounts??? Lower strut anchors no longer available from Volvo. Yikes! 200 1989

'89 240 Wagon...I want to replace my OEM struts with some Bilstein Touring cartridges and change both upper strut mounts. I'm installing new ball joints too. I have two questions:

I've got some upper strut mounts from Uro parts. The bearing looks like it sits about a half inch below where the OEM mount sits in relation to the fender well metal.... Has anyone had a problem (intallation/alignment adjustments/...?) with any particular after market strut mounts and is there one manufacturer that you would recommend over another (or avoid all together)?

I have to remove the "strut anchor" from the strut tube to access the nut at the top of the ball joint and to press out the ball joint. I should replace those bolts too. I called Volvo to get new "strut anchors" but they are no longer available....

What in the world should I do? Try matching the old bolts with new ones and clean up my current strut anchor?

Any help with this or shared solutions would be a godsend. This is new territory for me in terms of repair experience.
